About Me
My name is Caroline Gurney and I live near Bristol in the south west of England. I'm a graduate of Bristol University and a former diplomat and civil servant. More recently I've been involved in teaching computing and family history. I am also busy restoring a 300 year old house. My main hobbies are family history, cross stitch, crosswords and killer sudoku. I am married with 2 grown-up children and I am a Christian.
Family History
I have been researching my family history for 23 years. In that time I have uncovered a great deal of information about many different family lines in the UK, USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. The Master Genealogist

I use the best genealogy program on the market, The Master Genealogist (TMG). One of the great strengths of the program is the ability to customise it to meet the user's exact requirements. The UK version of the program uses a set of source templates which I developed for use in UK genealogy. I have also developed timelines for use in UK research and custom UK place styles.
